The Red Jacket Jamboree invites you to come share stories of “Love in the Copper Country” for The Red Jacket Jamboree's Valentine's Day Show on February 10.
Love stories must be true and must be able to be presented in under 6 minutes. Stories can be one's personal narrative or those of a friend or relative. Upon request, storytellers can have musical accompaniment. Selected storytellers will have help presenting their stories prior to performance. The Red Jacket Jamboree is also accepting poetry submissions for the duration of the 2018 Season. Poetry should reflect the history, culture or landscape of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Interested poets/storytellers should send an email asap to [email protected] . Up to two people will be selected to share their stories for the February Show. Selected storytellers should be available the evening of February 9th and 10th.
