Vocalist - Julie McIntosh
Julie began her professional career in New York City in the 1980’s as lead vocalist with bands "The Shakes" and "Wreckless Abandon." She cut her teeth in rock-n-roll, adding a brief stint with Hip-hop sampling producer John Robie.
Julie moved through the musical genres of jazz, rock and pop until landing in the world of Rhythm and Blues. She performed with drummer Bernard “Pretty” Purdie, guitarist Billy Hector, and keyboardist, Tony Z and has opened for notable performers including: Buddy Guy, Son Seals, L’il Ed and The Blues Imperials, and Luther “Guitar” Jr. Johnson.
One of the highlights of her career was the release of “So Far, So Good” a gritty Blues album featuring Julie's deep resonate vocals accompanied by acclaimed blues and gospel trio- the Holmes Brothers.
When not making music, Julie works with and restores botanical plants at Harvard University’s Herbaria, Cambridge, MA and is a sought after lecturer on plant specimen preservation and restoration.
