The Red Jacket Jamboree is a live radio variety show showcasing stories and songs from Michigan's Copper Country and the Upper Great Lakes. Musicians, singer/songwriters, poets, and storytellers perform in front of a live audience at the historic Calumet Theatre. The show is recorded for radio broadcast at a later date. The Red Jacket Jamboree is a production of Main Street Calumet and Real People Media. Come to a live recording of our next show! Our audience gets be part of the recording of two one-hour shows at the historic Calumet Theatre!
Every episode of The Red Jacket Jamboree features music by our house band- The Copper Cats, under the direction of Jerry Younce. The Band features Jerry Younce-guitar, Bill Carrothers-piano, Carrie Biolo-percussion/vibrophone.
Each show we feature a spoken-word artist (poet, storyteller, author) You never know where these stories will take you!
